Skutch
T-70 The Skutch T-70 is a busy out device designed to busy out ROLL OVER lines, while allowing your published line to be answered. This prevents additional lines from going unanswered when you can't get to them, or in the case of using it with the Skutch BA-1000-A (urgent message notifier), allows only the main line to answer calls while ringing the ROLL OVER lines busy.
Simply connect the published line to the MAIN RJ-11(standard modular connector) telephone cable on the T-70, and its other telephone cables to the ROLL OVER lines (you can cover more than four lines by connecting more T-70's in tandem). The T-70 routes all calls on the MAIN line to the Telecommunication Device while the ROLL OVER lines have a BUSY placed on them throughout each call. In this way, no call will go unanswered; either the call will go to the Telecommunication Device or it will get a BUSY signal, letting the callers know they can try again shortly. If you have more than one published telephone number, but still have some ROLL OVER lines, you can connect the T-70 with the Skutch T-51A to allow any of the published lines to get through while the ROLL OVER lines get the BUSY signal.
Notes: If you are using the T-70 during working hours, we can have the Service Center install the NON-INTERRUPT Modification (please call for current pricing). If you do not choose thIs option, when the Telecommunication Device grabs the line, anyone who happens to be on one of the other lines will notice a dramatic drop in the audio level on their line. To disable the T-70 during business hours, you can turn off the Telecommunication Device, or you can simply unplug the T-70 from power.

Scenarios:
#1.
Use the Skutch T-70 when only one person needs to cover more than one line, and when doing so, the threat of loosing an unanswered (ringing) phone might loose you customers. By letting the T-70 busy out additional or roll over lines, only the main published line will ring.
#2. Use the Skutch T-70 along with the Skutch BA-1000-A Answering Device / Urgent Notification system. With this combination you could force your published number to ring through to the BA-1000-A, and it in turn notifying you at a remote location or a cellular phone. During this call, all other roll over lines will ring busy, and force other callers to try again in a few moments when the published (main) line frees up. This scenario is used by Doctor's Offices and Urgent Support Departments. |
